As we know each room or space will be used differently and that's about the different materials which we have and the maintenance that we provide. There are several types of flooring: wood, ceramic, carpet, stone, painted, etc..

Wood floor installing, fast and inexpensive beauty

Installing a floating floor may seem like a daunting task, but with some basic skills and a small range of tools, the average homeowner can install a floating floor in a relatively short period of time. It is important to find the needs of your floor before engaging in any type of flooring remodeling, and this assessment must include the amount of foot traffic on the area destined to incur.

In this case, assuming that the area considered moderate use a floating floor is appropriate. Floating floors are made of wood tongue and groove, i.e. tongue and groove, which are placed on a basis of foam or cork. Just stick to the sides and ends.

Remember that wood is an organic matter, which may undergo with expansion and contraction according to the percentage of humidity. Before installing the new wood floor, let it rest at home for at least three days to adapt to the climatic conditions of your house or wherever you will do the installation.

To prepare the floor we can follow the next easy steps:

1. The floor should preferably be placed on a cement board, level, dry and curl.

3. Install a layer of polyethylene or plastic and a polyurethane or superlon necessary to cover 100% of the area to install, to absorb moisture and insulate the floor, making it warmer and improving the roughness of it.

Putting the pieces of wood

1. Due to its composition based on natural fibers, the ground contracts and expands with changes in relative humidity. Therefore you must install a 7mm removed from walls, other floors and other surfaces.

2. Start by setting the first piece of wood in a corner. Use a wooden wedge to leave an expansion gap between floor and wall.

3. Slide the second piece of wood at the end of the first. The groove and tongue should fit.

4. Before installing the next piece of wood, apply glue around the edges, but do not glue in the slot. On some floors you need to apply glue on the ends and edges. type PVA (Super PVA, CARPINCOL, PEGAFLEX, ETC.)

5. Place the piece of wood and press it to fit into place. Secure it with a hammer. Place a scrap piece of wood between the hammer and new floor to protect it.

6. Upon completion of the entire surface, the floor is walked only with brooms and keeps the pirlanes (accessory joining other wood floors under the doors).
